The South beach and the White beach ofHossegor have obtained the label Handiplage. Has Hossegor it is possible to play beach volleyball on the beach of the cork oak forests in member of theassociation Hossegor Beach Family. A membership fee of 10€ will be requested for theyear.
Can you walk a dog at theocean?
On the beaches ofHossegor, dogs are permitted outside of the regulated area wherethey are kept on a leash.
How to park to go to the beach?
There are free car parks close to the main access to the beaches, often located at a few minute walk or bike ride. In the summer, they can be quickly saturated, it is advisable to arrive early or focus on the bike and the free shuttles.
The car parks are distributed near the ocean beaches (e.g. Central beach, South beach) and the beach of the lake (e.g., Cork Oak, Rey, Park), with access laid out to facilitate the arrival of visitors.
Are there jellyfish in theocean?
Yes, there may be a jellyfish at Hossegor, especially in the summer and depending on the conditions of wind and current. Their presence is erratic and variable from one year to another.
In the event of an alert, the swimming can be occasionally not recommended on certain areas, but this is not a permanent feature.
